Chasing The ‘Sexual Hit’
A woman’s libido is connected with the menstrual cycle. She may experience an increase in sexual desire several days immediately before ovulation.
Testosterone levels rise gradually from about the 24th day of her menstrual cycle until ovulation on about the 14th day of the next cycle.
During the high-testosterone period before ovulation, a woman typically feels more attracted to masculine facial features and is more likely to pursue short-term mating.
Women are increasingly spending hours online looking at pornography or soliciting for sex.
Some fantasise about being sexual in public. Others cruise bars looking for anonymous encounters with strangers.
Tolerance builds and things get boring so the women have to engage in ever-riskier or more frequent behaviour to get the same “hit,” or even just to feel normal.
Of course, Puritans immediately jump to conclusions,Calling it a dangerous addiction and a threat to society. Perhaps women are finally breaking free of their chains.
Added to that are the derogatory and loaded words such as “promiscuous” and “slut” that society attaches to this kind of behaviour in women
Women were taking on what is usually described as typical male behaviour towards sex, including a new level of aggression towards prospective sex partners.
It may represent a shift in cultural or sexual mores, or that women are exercising greater freedom. Is this a new wave of female sexual liberation?
