Feature: 14 Crazy Amazing Facts About Female Sexuality

In Soho, there is an amazing art exhibition all about the clitoris, called CLITERACY. Now, the clitoris doesn’t usually get a lot of press. It’s usually upstaged by the vagina which is usually left in the dust by the attention that the penis gets! So walking into an art exhibit all about the clitoris was pretty amazing even for me! The artist, Sophia Wallace, in her ongoing mixed media project “exposes the irony of society’s obsession with and ignorance of female sexuality. CLITERACY, 100 Natural Laws (2012) includes a monumental wall of texts which challenge phallocentric biases in science, law, philosophy, politics and the art world. Wallace’s focus on the clitoris and female pleasure serves to question and counteract the history of misinformation regarding women’s bodies and the concomitant oppression therein”. I was completely drawn in. It’s a “must go see”. Continue reading Feature: 14 Crazy Amazing Facts About Female Sexuality

I am holidaying in Turkey this year, on my own! The reason? I arrived home from work, to find Robin, my husband, fucking the cleaner……… Fucking bastard!

To make matters worse, if they could be, it was my 30th birthday! Robin and I were going out to celebrate with some of our friends.

Feature: Erotic Art

The nature of erotic art is to portray human desire and the sexual acts it leads to. While some artists have chosen to do this through detailed images of people having sex like in the work of Edouard-Henri Avril, whose precise technique allowed him to construct realistic scenes of couples having intercourse, others have chosen a more minimalistic approach, where a few lines and a couple of colours are more than enough to transmit intense passion and lust. Petite Bohème is a French illustrator whose name remains a mystery, yet their sexually charged, simple, black and white drawings succeed at turning us on. Continue reading Feature: Erotic Art

Margaux Leven had lived in her penthouse apartment on Richmond Hill, a business area of Bournemouth for the last four years. Feature: Get On With It!

Look, I know you men have it difficult. Women are
just about impossible to understand, much less, please!

In a post-feminist society, you never know exactly what
you should be doing. Women are bloody picky, I know we are.

It can be scary, too, when women freak out about
what appears to be benign issues.

And men who do their best to be respectful,
female-positive humans, I salute you, I do.

Feature: Searching ‘Porn for Women’ taught me a lesson and you need it, too!

Often, when a product is marketed as being ‘for women’, you can safely assume it will be a rip-off, covered in pink. See the ‘Bic for Her’ ballpoint pen or women’s razors. In fact, I have made it my policy to avoid anything that shouts about being made especially for us ladies.

The one exception, though, just might be porn.

Feature Article: Male Circumcision Less Sexual Pleasure

Circumcised men are in for some bad news. It puts them at a disadvantage in the bedroom.

A study found those who had their foreskin removed as children or adults experienced less intense sexual pleasure and orgasm than their peers.

The new study surveyed 1,369 men over the age of 18. They were asked whether they were circumcised, and to rate how sensitive their penis was, how intense their orgasms were and whether they experience any pain or numbness when they are aroused.

310 men who took the survey were circumcised, and 1,059 were not. Each rated how sensitive their penis was on a scale from 0 to 5, with higher numbers being the most sensitive.

Uncircumcised men reported between 0.2 points and 0.4 points higher sensitivity and sexual pleasure when their penis’s head – known as the glans – was stroked during arousal, compared to circumcised men. Continue reading Feature Article: Male Circumcision Less Sexual Pleasure
